‘Essay on the Loneliness’

'Essay on the Loneliness’ is the title of the new book about the Atlantic crossing, and it is already half way written...
I have followed the moves and writings of Roz Savage and Alex Bellini and the list of affinities that united me with these ‘ocean crusaders’ kept growing…
I’ve asked Roz about her sleeping routines... She used as a guide line the old Winston Churchill’s quote: “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm”. Bellini informed me about the main difficulties of the route I intend to use...
During an exercise of anticipation I’ve investigated about «the main problems that one could face by crossing the Atlantic… from the physical effort to storms, from lack of sleeping to bad nutrition, from big ships to whales and sharks and… loneliness! My fears were all of them… ».
The chronics will approach themes like: zen moments, monotony, discipline, isolation, fear, freedom, defeat, silence, obsession, patience, maturity, egoism, responsibility…
